Hi,
Those things as far as I can remember are PC based oscilloscopes. They
usually command a £200 price, and work well, occasionally accurately.
As regards source, I dont know of any for Linux, but Everyday Practical
Electronics (http://www.epemag.com/) have locally stored code for the
same thing. Its a different unit, but some of the code should be
rippable.
