For those without access, they reported that:
"Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0 is 2.5 times faster than Linux as a
File Server and 3.7 times faster as a Web Server"
But there are comments about it on LWN which make for interesting
reading.

They even speculate that apache and samba may have been started from
inetd!
At the bottom of the report they say that the study was sponsored by
Microsoft...
