Is there a Sun os style printing system for linux?

I remember from uni that we had monthly page quotas on our sun
machines, and that if we needed to print more we had to pay the CC to
up our quotas. we had a command which was something like lpquota.

The standard bsd style lpd package that ships with linux, only has
after-the-fact accounting, which is too weak.

i need quota's as my sister has a tendency to print out entire
websites for friends that don't have internet access. This eve i
found something like 100 pages of "Irish Gaelic Names" sitting in the
output tray, so a harsh BOFH print quota is needed to cure her.
