I'd suggest the Linux Documentation Project (
http://metalab.unc.edu/LDP/ ) which as a rake of stuff in acrobat
format. A word of warning, though; xpdf is pretty reluctant to format
them properly, so you should probably download an acrobat reader from
Adobe (url omitted as an exercise for the reader).
