Ah, the Linda Branagan story. You've got it slightly mangled here -
the daemon-in-sneakers has been a mascot for the BSD community
for a long time, not just of those johnny-come-lately versions for
IBM's newfangled Personal Computer..
ah.. so the daemon was always a BSD mascot? which ones are which
again? the halo is OpenBSD, the "sneakers" is FreeBSD.. etc.?
