Does revolve.conf specify 'order hosts bind', and if so, does the hosts
file on B list machine A?
If not, RH5.{0|1|2} defaults to doing a reverse lookup on connecting
machines,
and the prompt will only appear after the lookup fails. However, it's
odd that the ping resolve works both ways :-/
