Phishy.net (The IRC Network with the largest Irish population, which includes
irc.indigo.ie) use cyclone. Search for it on freshmeat. As for performance, I
can't really quantify it, but it should be fine for most needs. Reliability
shouldn't be an issue if it's set up correctly, especially if there's only one
server involved.
