MySQL+PHP (was Re: [ILUG] Re: unison)

Tradesignals.com does a reasonable amount of traffic.. from about 4,000
page impressions to 20,000+ page impressions an hour running PHP3 and
MySQL (haven't checked partners virtual hosts yet, but you could double
the above figures easily). Some scalability problems have shown up but a
little tuning helped a lot, check the MySQL mailing list over the past
few days for a few posts from me there..
Right now, we're looking into load balancing and distributed servers,
which may or may not use MySQL.
Looking into Oracle/Informix et al as well, but MySQL has impressed me
in the past.
