Hi,
I had a 2GB drive in a laptop that I'm passing on to someone else. It
originally contained all Linux (no windoze). But the person who is getting
the drive is gonna be running win 98.
Now, today, I started the drive under Linux, did an FDisk and removed all
the partitions. I then restarted, booted from the A drive and Fdisked again
to install a primary DOS partition.
Only problem is, when I boot up now, I get a message that the "partition
doesn't exist!!", the "save to disk feature is disabled" and instead of
getting the C:\> prompt, I now get "LI", which I presume is the remnants of
the LILO prompt under windows.
Yet, if I boot from a floppy, I can run FDisk and see the primary DOS
partition (Fat 16) - it does say that usage is 99% though!
Any suggestions???...What have I forgotten to do here?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I need to get this sorted ASAP!
