Should the VGA driver for XFree86 drive any chipset these days, or has AGP gone
and confused everything by making cards non-VGA ?

I ask because RH5.2 doesn't like my SiS chipset at all, and even when I try to use
the VGA driver at the absolutely lowest settings X still bums me out before starting.

Shouldn't the VGA driver work with any card (assuming the card supports VGA) ?

At the moment I'm not too pushed about how much deskspace I get, even 640*480
would be a start.

Any ideas ?
