Yeah, I remember those days alright good awl Gateway.
That was one of my main reasons for leaving there, couldn't
handle telling people their hardware was still ok when I knew
it was only going to cause more problems for them in the future.

Bad sectors is a very good reason for demanding a replacement,
Even if it's just one bad sector I would persist until I got it
replaced as I did last year. with a Maxtor HDD.
Anyways, the manufacturers warranty would still be valid especial when
it's only been two months.

That's one of the good thing's about being an ex-tech support chap.
We don't take any crap from anybody.
