this is a 2.2 problem in general look into make bzImage (this is a big
compressed image as opposed to a bz compress image)...

I persume runsocks uses an LD_PRELOAD to hook the system calls at the
library level, and the version you have is glibc2.0 compat and not
glibc2.1 compat .. either upgrade runsocks or re-compile it

my keymap works ...
make sure /etc/sysconfig/keyboard has KEYBOARD=uk in it ..
and make sure the RH6.0 keytable init script is run in run level 3 (use nt
sysv or tksysv)..

I'd say an upgrade of a previous RH system with alot of software just
installed on top of it ...

my upgrade of RH6.0 went fine, I just booted, upgraded, added a couple of
packages to the list and it came back fine, apart from the loop.o bug on
the boot disk it was fine ..
