It would have been nice alright, I imagine that it is far too late now
to do this ? Of course noone ever expected the amount of domains that
would be requested or desired. I expect that we will see the rather
cringe worthy toplevel names of .shop .store .CornerShopOnTheCoast, or
some other new thematic toplevel groupings before subdivisions of
existing toplevel names.
One of the nice things about .com names is that you come in on an
equal basis as established companies. Very egalitarian, with good
content www.whatever.com the one man pre-startup can compete directly
with www.established.com. Very hard to take www.mcnamara-9870.ie as
seriously as www.aib.ie.
