just run e-conf . It's an enlightment configurator thingy. To get those
buttons back try a few themes ("CleanBig" is the most Windows Like if I
remember). If that doesn't work just install the rpm from (something like
e-configurator.rpm I think). I have RH6.0 at home and I know it's there!
You get other cool configurations options too.

 Chances are you are using Enlightenment for managing windows, and their

 When does this happen? During install ? Did you burn your own CDs ?

 It generally means that the root directory specified when "lilo" was run
is invalid.
