Yeah I had the exact same problem with my gateway too.
I tried just getting the 3.3.6 mach64 driver too but couldn't get it
working (didn't try to hard mind you).
Anyway to cut to the case I got it working with redhat 6.2-beta
(aka 6.1.92(Piglet)) Although you could get away with just downloading the
new X rpms rather than the whole thing.
