Have seen similar problems on a friends new gateway. Downloaded the SuSE
XFCom server for rage and it worked great in 3.3.5 or 3.3.6
Point of note is that SuSE said the rage 128 driver was merged into the
xsvga server, not the mach64. Try using that before download the xfcom
server from
http://ftp.sunet.se/pub/os/Linux/distributions/suse/suse/i386/X/XFCom/xrage/
