"Dalheimer also laments the geographic
chauvinism that quietly emerged during the
rift. The bulk of KDE's core development
team lives in Europe, where independence
from American software companies
invokes issues of national security, not just
personal choice. Dalheimer says European
Linux developers have followed a policy of
beating Windows first and worrying about
ideological issues later.
"We want KDE to be used because it's
better, not because of the license,"
Dalheimer says."
I think the guy has a point...

Subject: [ILUG] KDE and Windowmaker
Has anyone managed to nicely replace kwm with Window Maker? I have
WM
compiled with KDE and Gnome support (just to try both;) and yet none
of
my efforts have been successful to neatly run kpanel and assorted
apps
when WM loads.
I'll try put the commands in "autostart" but that's not what I'm
looking
for.. :(
Donncha.
