Subject: [ILUG] Corel Linux
Has anyone tried to install Corel Linux from the free Cd with PC live? Any
caveats, cautions tips, etc?
I was going to reformat my hard disk anway - I want to get rid of Win98 and
re-install '95, but I thought I try installing Corel Linux over 98 first,
just to see how it gets on with partitioning the disk.
Unless someone else has already tried this and knows it to be a really
*bad* idea...
regards,
Barry
PC Live very kindly supplied an ISO of Corel Linux on their cd, which AFAIK,
doesn't install. I burned a cd from the image, but haven't had a chance to
try it yet. I tried the version supplied with PC Plus, and had no luck. I
kept getting to the last step for install, and the machine would reboot,
with all the partitions still as they were before I started.
I remember reading in PC Plus something about it using a PS/2 mouse, which
I'm not, but I don't know if this a problem.
