I'm in the market for a low-cost backup device, and naturally, I want

Iomega 10GB (compressed) internal drive at STG£150 looks too good to

I've been meaning to ask about this myself. Specifically, what would
anyone recommend for a portable-ish back-up storage device, one that
would need to be used on a range of PC's in different places
periodically. I.e. not permanently in place on one pc.
Is there such a thing as a backpack tape drive? is there such a thing
as one that can use either a SCSI or parallel connection?
All things being equal, is a tape drive cheaper per MB of storage than
say a CD-RW or some other solution.
