Are we talking bored or are we talking nasty plane crash? In the former
event, my guess is Linus would nominate an individual - or a very small
number of individuals to take over his role. In the case of the latter,
I think one person would be elected by the kernel mailing list to take
over who would then delegate the various administrative tasks of kernel
development and maintenance.
