Hi
It's been about 2-3 years since I last installed Linux (college)
and in the mean time I lost a lot of interest in computers (esp since I
use one every day at domain work). However there is a PC sitting beside me at
work which isn't used much so I've decided to take the plunge and install
Linux.
As before I got out FIPS and started to partition the disk (after I defragged
the disk and yes I did switch off the virtural memory) however FIPS only
lets me create a tiny (2M) partition at the end of the disk. Looking at the
defrag window it seems that there are some unmoveable sectors at the end of
the disk which are causing me problems. Does anyone know how to move these
or get around the problem somehow. Unfortunately I can't get my hands on
Partition Magic so I don't know of any other way around this problem. Any ideas?
