I installed rh6 today and got tonnes of errors when booted into it because
i had 2.2.7-ac2 and it uses 2.2.5-ac13 so i got rid of the kernel that
comes with it along with things it needs like kernelcfg and kernel-pcmcia
etc.
i went to play quake2 and after having to sort out svgalib cos the mouse
was going mental,it still kept making annoying beep sounds when i started
it.
so i checked /usr/src/linux and found the kernel that comes with it make
another file their called kernel-2.2.5 (i think it was a link),deleted
that and did 'make menuconfig' to see if it messed up my config.
it made a big complain about ncurses and something missing so i
reinstalled the whole kernel and patched up to 2.2.7-ac2, did 'make
dep' 'make clean' but when i did 'make zImage' i got this crap:
gcc -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -O2 -fomitframe-pointer -o
scripts/split-includescripts/split-include.c
In file included from /usr/src/errno.h:36,
from scripts/split-include.c:26:
/usr/include/bits/errno.h:25: linux/errno.h No such file or directory
make: *** [scripts/split-include] Error 1
i had to type all that because the damn thing turned off gpm too :(
what could i of deleted or done wrong that would give me that error?
thanks.
