Hi, all.
While running netstat -t, I found a few interesting lines that perhaps
someone can elucidate on.
Active Internet connections (w/o servers)
Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address Foreign Address State
tcp 0 0 leviathan.irelands-:785 leviathan.irelands-:983
TIME_WAIT
tcp 0 0 leviathan.irelands-:784 leviathan.irelands-:983
TIME_WAIT
tcp 0 0 leviathan.irelands-:782 leviathan.irelands-:983
TIME_WAIT
tcp 0 0 leviathan.irelands-:781 leviathan.irelands-:983
TIME_WAIT
tcp 0 0 leviathan.irelands-:780 leviathan.irelands-:983
TIME_WAIT
When I first checked, there were more than this; going down to port 771 on
the local side. However, they gradually disappeared over the next couple
of minutes, so I've no idea how many there were originally.
Any ideas?
