Just wondering:
I've a 32MB nVidia TNT2, that looks like this:
Bus 1, device 0, function 0:
VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation Vanta [NV6] (rev 21).
IRQ 11.
Master Capable. Latency=64. Min Gnt=5.Max Lat=1.
Non-prefetchable 32 bit memory at 0xf5000000 [0xf5ffffff].
Prefetchable 32 bit memory at 0xfc000000 [0xfdffffff].
in /proc/pci. So, I've added:
echo "base=0xfc000000 size=0x2000000 type=write-combining" >| /proc/mtrr
To my rc.local, to speed up video RAM access.
However, I notice that I have this in /proc/pci:
Bus 0, device 0, function 0:
Host bridge: Intel Corporation 440BX/ZX - 82443BX/ZX Host bridge (rev 3).
Master Capable. Latency=64.
Prefetchable 32 bit memory at 0xf8000000 [0xfbffffff].
Can I add that to /proc/mtrr ? Is there a point ?
