I'd say no, seeing as you got this far :) esp, if you can download
images/software or have someone burn off a copy.

Some distro's provide commercial apps. Other than that, and the
limited tech support and hard-copy manuals, what have the Roman's ever
done for us? :)
If you're happy reading man files (much faster and more detailed than
hard-copy anyway) I wouldn't bother.
