pretty much what linux 2.3 can do (and it can do a lot more too).
course i guess the packeteer is easier to setup. And available now. (2.4

no such problem with 2.3. Just get the right hardware.
out of curiosity, how much is this device? And if your router is decent
(eg Cisco IOS 12 has a lot of traffic shaping features, doesn't it?) why
would you need it?
