It means that the kernel you had didn't support MSDOSFS or FAT. That's
all. The Superblock in the case of DOS is the FAT itself. If there is no
module to read that, it'll fail. It could also be that the kernel doesn't
do module autoloading. In that case, have a look in /lib/modules/*/fs, and
trying insmodding fat.o msdos.o and vfat.o
