]All of the workstations (Windows based I might add) are able to
]tracert through the Linux box to the NT server and see it, but none
]of them are able to log in and share files. All of the workstations
]can see external websites through IE and Netscape, so Ive come to the
]conclusion that the IP masquing end of things is fairly ok.

Sound to me like there is some sort of filter in place blocking access to
ports 137, 138 and 139 (the netport tcp and udp ports).
Can you do a "telnet NTBox 139" (ports 137 and 138 won't allow you to
connect using telnet!). You should get a connection
of some sort.

Run tcpdump on the Linux box to see what is happening. Something like
"tcpdump -n host and NTServer".
