Thanks - I may take you up on that some time. At the moment, however, I'm
trying to set up a development copy of a machine running Mandrake 5.3. BTW does
anyone have a 5.3 CD knocking around - I threw out my last one a few weeks
ago :-) I do have the whole CD on a disk on the box for which I'm setting up
a copy, but I'm buggered if I'm going to download 600MB over a modem :-)

It's a K6-233 - this is Pentium class, but I'm wondering is that perhaps the
issue - I really don't think so, though. And I'm pretty sure I had Mandrake
running on this box before now. (What about that post from the guy who said
Mandrake ran fine on his 486 IBM - is that curious or what ?)
