you need to play with setserial, the pnpdump and isapnp combination should
have worked if it is an ISA card using PNP, then you uncomment the lines
in the isapnp.conf, and use setserial to point the Linux device driver at
the port, of course serial support must be compiled in as a module to the
kernel and not part of it ...
With minicom, you should be able to type AT, and get the OK reply from the
modem, then ATDT1891xxxxxx should generate the click for off-hook, then
dial the number ...

Probably something needs upgrading though not sure .. didn't use Suse
myself I don't think Suse 5.2 was 2.2 kernel ready ..

Can't help here either, probably some wierd YAST thing, I've got a Stylus
XL+ I think its called and it works fine under Linux/Solaris/NT and 95...
But I haven't done anything with it in ages under UNIX,
