Anyone using tcpblast to measure bandwidth?
I have it running on both a FreeBSD box and RH 6.2 box but it's producing
different sets of results on each platform. The linux port is
overestimating the bandwidth by about a factor of 2 and sometimes reports
a bandwidth greater than the link is capable of! I'm using a large number
of blocks (500) so the error should be fairly low, around 0 to 5%.
I need this to work on a linux server, and at the moment I don't trust the
figures it's reporting. Is anyone else using tcpblast on linux or can you
recommend a good bandwidth measuring tool for linux?
Source code for tcpblast can be found at...
ftp.FreeBSD.org/pub/FreeBSD/branches/-current/ports/benchmarks/tcpblast/src
...for the FreeBSd version, and at tucows for the linux version....

Thanks
