Eterm comes with a "theme" for mutt. It has menus which just put
keypresses into the terminal. Nice idea, actually. You could have a look
at that ('Eterm -t mutt' I think).
Balsa and Spruce are based on libmutt, which mutt uses for parsing mail,
but that's about it.
