Hi John,
Hollywood execs. don't know or care about linux.
Their CGI and techies probably do and ultimately they
decide what machines end up in films as the execs.
don't know enough to make the decision for themselves.
This isn't uniform as people like James Cameron definitely know
about the benefits of using linux. A Beowulf cluster was used
to do most of the CGI on Titanic.
They also know that Linux plays the role of rebellion
to Window's empire. This makes it trendy.
