Colm Buckley burst across the net:

thank you.
listen kids, this theoretically is the irish linux users group list.
myself and a friend recently posted up questions here, linux questions,
and got no response. de nada. and the first question went up around
thursday.
that's pretty lame folks.
one could argue that the list is full of techie types interested in a range
of systems, but that's neither the brief of the list nor is it in evidence
when a member of the list sends a binary attachment to a mailing list.
(something i truly find to be a stunning example of complete and total
luserdom. i'm talking the low end of the bell curve in a representative
sample of first year undergrad, hyper-spastic, aol users as
comparative geniuses.)
sending a binary attachment of some nt executable to a linux related
mailing list. dear god. hell, it probably violated the license related
to the executable. the levels of stupidity are beyond measurement.
btw, i deleted the mail. i don't know who sent it. hopefully others will
do the same so whoever did it please just shut up. no apologies. please.
stay unknown for at least some of us.
anyway, back to my point. it's a linux list. people come here to
discuss linux, and perhaps learn. let's give that a shot, eh?
we're not a perfect group of people, but fer cryin out loud, we
can try just a wee bit harder, right?
