Read-ahead of 128 sectors, 64k? That sounds pretty hefty!
I like this though:
-r Get/set read-only flag for device. When set, write operations
are not permitted on the device.
Could be handy for firewall configs, as long as you remove hdparm and mount,
and have noexec on all your writable filesystems.
BTW has anyone run into problems with -W1 (enable drive write caching) and
power cuts?
