The general consensus from a number of places is that:
NTServer will blow away linux running on "serious" hardware (quad Xeon III 550)
It also creams samba running on solaris x86 same hardware.
Netware on the same machine beats NT at file/web serving (only using one of
the processors because it's SMP is shite).

However, drop the hardware down the scale to 1 PII-450, and you'll see linux
netware and solaris beats NT hands down.

Linux doesn't scale yet, which is what the 2.3 kernel will be about.
