check out the husky range of rugged computers. they're real PCs (the last
time i checked -- the small ones could be WinCE by now) but you can drop them
from six feet, submerge them in water, use them for hammering nails,
deflecting light sabres.. you get the picture.
be warned: they're expensive, as in thousands of pounds. my dad got a quote
for one he was thinking of using for recording inspection data in factories.
