The heart-ache involved probably isn't worth it. However, X4 *needs* to be
used so it can be improved. To be honest, X4 wasn't ready for release but
it was pushed out so people would actually start using it. If you start
using it know you'll be happy with it in a few months. If people don't
start using it then it may be a lot longer.
I've been using it since 3.9.16 at it has some great advantages like
windowed opengl(no need to debug on a seperate machine), a lot faster in
2d and once its working it stays working.
