No!, run run run away. Do not under any account use StarMail for anything.
Massive
flashing lights and alarm buzzers, sirens and so forth. There are "known
issues" with
it. For trivial applications you may be alright, but for anyone vaguely
powerish all
sorts of things blow up. Luckily its not possible anyway to read from mbox
files like
/var/spool/mail the way you want. You can IMPORT them on a once off basis
but not have
them regularly scanned for newmail notification as you want. The suggested
unix mail
solution for this is to set up imap on your machine and point starmail at
imap instead.
