That reminds me, is it possible to just use /dev/hda as
a filesystem (no partition table!)?. The booting would be
wierd (but I assume LILO could handle it or maybe use a boot
mount /dev/hda /whatever
I was surprised when it tried /dev/hda1p1 or whatever. Does
this mean you really can use a partition as a whole disk
(the opposite of my orig (equally useless!) question)
