this is wrong. Intersocs Irealnd is an association of Computer and Net
societies in Ireland. The event that was held by NUI,Galway Computer
Society was called Intersocs Confwerence 1998. The idea behind it was a
sort of compsoc/netsoc intervarsity. It just happened to have a Linux
focus because I thought Intersocs and ILUG would benefit from each others
involvement.
I was hoping to organise another conference for 2000 but it looks unlikely
now seeing as I'm probably headed for the USA in September/October for a
year.
