Well, the date was chosen such that it would be a nice event with which
to introduce any new Compsoc members to Linux... this date should be
sometime around the end of Freshers' Week - but if needs be I'm sure we
could hold it off for another week or so to the first weekend in
October... running dangerously close to "LAID, The Reincarnation" at
that stage though. Besides, it's much easier to get new society
victims^H^H^H^H^H^H^Hmembers to attend events early on :-)
