For that price it's probably an internal and you'll use isdn4, but just in
case...
I'm using the Asus external with Linux just fine although some externals
have definite problems with Linux. I bought a Trust Ext TA - worked fine
with NT, but spent many frustrating hours trying to get it to work reliably
with Linux, assuming it to be a handshake/IRQ problem. Eventually tracked
down people on dejanews who had similar problems, none of whom ever solved
it. Symptom is Tx fine and Rx works briefly but gets progressively slower
until you're down to double digit bytes/sec.
Eventually gave up, got my money back on the Trust, bought an Asus, plugged
it in with settings that failed to work on the Trust and haven't had a
problem with it for a year now.
