Just read the Samba guide on the ilug website and thought that
for anyone trying to share a windows printer of some sort to a linux/samba box
(printer on win machine), the following link is v. useful

Only thing it leaves out is to make sure the smbprint script is not inserting
translated carriage return/linefeeds into the stuff you feed the printer.
