Has anyone tried setting up an NT-like domain with samba
whereby user information/authentication details are stored
in an LDAP directory.
I want to be able to authenticate WindowsNT4.0 and Linux client
users with a single domain logon to a single Linux Samba/LDAP server
(i.e. no replication).
I have been looking at OpenLDAP1.2.11, pam_ldap module, Samba2.0.7
on RedHat 6.2.
Also, is the HEAD version of samba the most suitable for this and
does version support 2.0.7 support the LDAP password database. When
I compile with the "--with-ldap" option it gives an error saying
it isn't supported!
Any pointers/help appreciated
