Has anyone successfully booted a 2.4.0-testX kernel? I've been trying for
the past couple of hours and both 2.4.0-test2 + test3 both die when
entering run level 3 on my machine.
I managed to apply one of the timer.c patches and successfully compiled
test3 this morning at the third attempt, but it's dying as soon as it
enters run level 3 as well.
If no one has gotten these to work, what 2.4.0-X kernels _should_ work? My
local box is a vanilla RH6.2 install, so as far as I know, I do have the
correct version of gcc to compile a new kernel successfully. Just want to
play with some of the new features and evaluate them a bit....
