I'd use wget of ncftpget or somesuch to download directly from the ftp
site. That way you don't need to worry about the installer. The
helix-gnome pr2 installer happily installed with the pre-downloaded
packages in the same directory - I doubt this would any be different.
120 Mb should be down by the morning, if you can get a good mirror, of course.
The earlier you can kick it off, the better.
