You press 'y' to send the mail once you've finished composing
(y = send , Hmmm...).

How to finish editing your text depends on which editor you are using, I use
vi (Neah! emacs users! :-)

You'll know you're ready to send when you have a screen containing the message
headers and a menu accross the top (unless you've configured it elsewhere!
(That's the nice thing about mutt layouts, they're like standards... Loads to
choose from ;-)) that says things like

y:Send q:Abort t:To c:CC s:Subj a:Attach file d:Descrip ?:Help

Oh look! there it is at the beginning of the menu! :0)
