[ILUG] Disabling terminals

Hi,

Can't remember who asked this, and I've deleted the relevant mails
already, but the guy who wanted to disable the spawning of terminals
can do it (assuming he's running redhat) by commenting out the
following lines in his /etc/inittab.

1:2345:respawn:/sbin/mingetty tty1
2:2345:respawn:/sbin/mingetty tty2
3:2345:respawn:/sbin/mingetty tty3
4:2345:respawn:/sbin/mingetty tty4
5:2345:respawn:/sbin/mingetty tty5
6:2345:respawn:/sbin/mingetty tty6

If he wants them to run in runlevel 2 and 3 (which is reasonable for
RedHat - both don't spawn X) he can just delete the 4 and 5 from the
2345 bit. I generally tend to only run 2 or 3 anyway - it does save a
bit on lower end hardware.

Cheers,
Dave.
