You could check out SDL's mingw32 stuff; it lets you cross-compile SDL with
DirectX bindings from Linux. Those sources might contain some hints about
doing this for other things. I successfully compiled a few of the demos
included to several targets (although I never got anyone to test the Alpha
target for me ;).
